This special run of Kendamas was designed with the player in mind. From their eye-catching woodgrain to their playability and feel, they are truly something special. We selected these wood species for their varied aesthetic, density, and feel.
Wenge is a very dark & beautiful wood originating from Africa with slightly porous grain, contrasting with brown and black hues.
*Please note that the grain structure for exotic wood species are different than the beechwood found in most Kendamas. Any wooden toy is expected to show wear after being played with. To keep your Kendama in good condition, we suggest playing gently over softer surfaces like carpet or grass. The exotic woods can crack or chip easier than beech wood if dropped on a hard surface, so please play these beauties responsibly.
Notable features include:
Durable, low friction, beveled handle design
The Ken is thicker towards middle, improving balance and weight distribution for technical tricks
Can be easily re-strung without taking the handle apart to accommodate left and right-handed players
String features high-quality weave with greater flex and strength
Contemporary sarado (crosspiece) design does not separate from Ken as in traditional designs
Each Kendama arrives in pro packaging with an instruction manual, free stickers, and a replacement string/bead packed in. You'll get as many hours of quality play from The Keizen as went into making it a timeless experience worthy of the professional player.
